VIETNAM VISA EXEMPTION FOR DIPLOMATIC OR OFFICIAL PASSPORTS

41 Rumania 01/12/1956

- The exemption of Vietnam visa is granted to holders of diplomatic passports or official passports or group passports for official mission or ordinary passports for official mission. There is no provision on concrete duration of stay.5

- The visa issuance fee is gratis to holders  of ordinary passports.

42 Russia 20/2/1994

- The exemption of Vietnam visa is granted to holders of diplomatic passports or official passports with the stay duration not exceeding 90 days. The stay duration may be extended for another period of up to 90 days on the basis of appropriate reasons or official request.

- The exemption of Vietnam visa  is granted to members during their  whole tenure, at  diplomatic missions or consular posts, or representative mission at international organizations, and members of other agencies or organizations on the territories of either country in accordance with the agreement between the two Governments, as well as their family members holding diplomatic passports or official passports.

- Holders of  sea-crew passports who are sailors on ships of either party may come to or leave their ships and stay on the territories of other party without visa. In case, they travel on the territories of the other party by other transportation means, they are entitled to exemption of Vietnam visa, provided that the purpose of their travel and their destination is recorded in their sea-crew passports.

- The exemption of Vietnam visa is granted to air-crew members who are citizens of the two countries, provided that the stay duration does not exceed 30 days and the following conditions are satisfied:
+ They carry out duties on flights of designated airlines or other flights operated by the airlines of the two countries, or special flights, or chartered flights operated on personal airplanes registered by either party.
+ They hold passports, crew identity card and their names are on the crew list.

- The diplomatic mission, consular posts and competent authorities of either Party are liable to issue visa for gratis to citizens of the other Party.

- The visa shall be issued for gratis to people visiting members of diplomatic missions or consular posts on the basis of letters of invitation (endorsed by the concerned representative mission) within 3 working days. The visa is valid for two times of entry and exit, and the duration does not exceed 3 months.

43 Serbia 01/9/2000

- The exemption of Vietnam visa is granted to holders of diplomatic passports or official passports with the stay duration not exceeding 90 days. The stay duration may be extended at the request of the concerned diplomatic mission or consular post.

- The exemption of Vietnam visa  is granted to members during their  whole tenure, at  diplomatic missions, consular posts or representative missions at international organizations and their family members bearing diplomatic passports or official passports.

44 Singapore 10/5/1997

- The exemption of Vietnam visa  for citizen of Singapore holding diplomatic passports or official passports with the stay duration not exceeding 90 days, or during their whole tenure of official mission for members of diplomatic missions or consular posts and their family members.

45 Slovakia 10/8/1992

- The exemption of Vietnam visa is granted to holders of diplomatic passports with the stay duration not exceeding 90 days.

- The exemption of Vietnam visa  is granted to citizens of either Party who bear diplomatic passports and are members of diplomatic missions or consular posts or representative missions of international organizations on the territories of the other Party, during their whole tenure and their family members bearing diplomatic passports. They are liable to complete procedures for residence registration within 90 days from the date of their entry.

- The either Party extends favorable consideration in the issuance of visa to holders of official passports on the basis of the note of the diplomatic mission or consular post of the other Party.

46 South Africa 23/6/2007

- The exemption of Vietnam visa is granted to holders  of diplomatic passports or official passports with the stay duration not exceeding 90 days from the date of their entry.

- The exemption of Vietnam visa  is granted to holders of diplomatic passports or official passports who are members of the diplomatic mission or consular posts on the territories of the other Party,  during their  whole tenure and members of the families of the above-mentioned people bearing diplomatic passports or official passports.

47 Republic of Korea 13/1/1999

- The exemption of Vietnam visa is granted to holders  of diplomatic passports or official passports with the stay duration not exceeding 90 days. The duration of stay may be extended at the request of the concerned diplomatic mission or consular post. In case of staying l over 90 days, they are liable to apply for visa in advance and will get visa issued at no fee.

- The exemption of Vietnam visa  is granted to members during their  whole tenure, at diplomatic missions or consular posts or representative missions at international organizations and their family members holding diplomatic passports or official passports.

48 Sri Lanka 19/9/2003

- The exemption of Vietnam visa is granted to holders  of diplomatic passports or official passports with the stay duration not exceeding 90 days. The stay duration may be extended at the request of the concerned diplomatic mission or consular post.

- The exemption of Vietnam visa  is granted to members during their  whole tenure, at diplomatic missions or consular posts or representative missions at international organizations and their family members holding diplomatic passports or official passports.

49 Thailand 10/5/1997

- The exemption of Vietnam visa is granted to holders of diplomatic passports or official passports with the stay duration not exceeding 30 days.

- The exemption of Vietnam visa  is granted to members during their whole tenure, at  diplomatic missions or consular posts or representative mission at international organizations and their spouse, and children accompanying them and holding diplomatic passports or official passports. They are liable to complete procedures for residence registration at the host country within 30 days from the date of their entry.

50 Tunisia 20/1/2009

- The exemption of Vietnam visa is granted to Tunisian citizens holding diplomatic or special passports  with the stay duration not exceeding 90 days.

51 Turkey 01/10/1998

- The exemption of Vietnam visa is granted to holders of diplomatic passports or official passports issued by Vietnam and bearers of diplomatic, official or special passports issued by Turkey with the stay duration not exceeding 90 days.

- The exemption of Vietnam visa  is granted to citizens of either Party who are members of the diplomatic mission or consular posts on the territories of the other Party, during their whole tenure, as well as their family members bearing any of the above-mentioned passports. These people are liable to complete procedures for residence registration at the competent authorities of the host country within 90 days from the date of their entry.

52 Ukraine 06/12/1993

- The exemption of Vietnam visa is granted to holders  of diplomatic passports or official passports with the stay duration not exceeding 90 days. The stay duration may be extended at the request of the concerned diplomatic mission or consular post.

- The exemption of Vietnam visa is granted to holders  of crew passports with the stay duration not exceeding 30 days.

- The exemption of Vietnam visa  is granted to members during their whole tenure ,at diplomatic missions, consular posts or representative missions at international organizations and their spouse, parents and other persons who are supported by them and bear diplomatic passports or official passports.

53 Uruguay 15/6/2008

- The exemption of Vietnam visa is granted to holders of diplomatic passports or official passports with the stay duration not exceeding 90 days.

- The exemption of Vietnam visa  is granted to citizens who are members of diplomatic missions, consular posts or representative missions of international organizations , during their  whole tenure and their family members bearing diplomatic passports. They are liable to complete procedures of residence registration within 90 days from the date of their entry.

54 Venezuela 17/11/2006

- The exemption of Vietnam visa is granted to holders  of diplomatic passports or official passports with the stay duration not exceeding 90 days.

- The exemption of visa is granted to members during their whole tenure  at diplomatic missions, consular posts or representative missions of international organizations and their spouse, children and parents bearing diplomatic passports or official passports.
